Welcome to Build and Grow Speech Language Therapy

Coming to your home in the Greater Washington area.

We help with

Social Communication Development

Our therapists are trained to aid young children to expand how they connect with others. Shared connection lays the foundation for meaningful communication.

Fluency Skills

Our therapists will determine if your child’s stuttering will resolve on its own or if direct therapy is needed. We can help your child achieve the smooth speech both you and they desire!

Speech Sounds

Our therapists will help your child speak with confidence, as we improve their pronunciation of sounds and adjust the rate or volume of speech as needed.

Language Development

Our therapists will help your child process and understand language and expand their ability to communicate; including aiding limited vocabulary, ‘late’ talkers and mixed-up grammar.

About Build & Grow

Our expertise includes early childhood, speech sound difficulties, voice disorders, language concerns and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We use parent friendly language to explain what we do and provide you with the tools to help your child between sessions.

Our Happy Clients

Nechama Zakem

Malka is amazing with children of all ages. She is so warm and personable. She is very intuitive and perceptive and understands children very well. She makes them feel comfortable and at ease around her. My kids love her! I highly recommend Malka

Michal M

Cassidy has been so helpful to me and my four year old son! She is fun, outgoing and creative, and also structured and goal-oriented. She made visual schedules and charts to help me support my son’s progress between therapy sessions. She patiently answers all my questions on the phone and in-person and we can already see some great progress since working with her.

Laura H

We have only been working with Build and Grow for a few months, and we could not be more thrilled. Our daughter has grown leaps and bounds since beginning therapy. Malka and her team are not only clearly intelligent, experienced and skilled, they create such a fun environment for therapy curated to each kid individually. They excel at helping the whole family learn how to encourage development, and lead with a reassuring mix of empathy, incisiveness and know-how. Without question starting work with Build and Grow is one of the most consequential decisions we've made in addressing our daughter's speech delay, and we count ourselves so fortunate to have Build and Grow as part of our daughter's team!

Jennifer C

I am beyond impressed by the professionalism and knowledge from this company. My daughter has made more strides with this speech company than through the school or other company we had used. I would recommend this company hands down!
